...which went well, although that tape is pretty messy. However, one thing I didn't know, is that when you put it all back together, string up the guitar, and any combination of the CC and APH2 sounds like it may be 'out of phase', with a weak thin, hollow sound, about 1/4 the output of either hb alone. I am guessing this is the problem, because nothing else has changed- just a magnet flip.

I'm thinking about grabing one of these...does anyone have any feedback. If all you can tell me is that it's not as good as a real drummer please don't post...I play drums and if I didn't live in an apartment I would just track live drums, but I seem to work better at 2am so a drum machine is just gonna have to work for now. BTW...if you have a better idea for me please let me know, I have heard some good things aboput the SR-16 so I thought I'd give it a shot!

I've read that this guy Michael Angelo Batio is the fastest guitar player in the world and can actually play all 4 necks of a 4 necked guitar at the same time.

So what`s the deal with hex pole pieces on the Demon. Is there any benefit to the standard flat pole pieces.

Hey guys, can anyone compare these two woods? Is there any difference between black and white korina other than looks, and how do they sound compared to alder? Although it's one of the most commonly used woods, I keep getting conflicting information about alder. Some say it's a warmer wood, some say it's a brighter wood. I'm looking for something that has a bit more warmth than alder, without sounding too dark. It also needs to work well with a Fender-style solid color finish. I love the tone of basswood, but it's just too soft, and I'm wondering if Korina might be a good choice if I want a wood that's a bit warmer than alder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Gibson '67 RI V that came with the 500T/496R pu's, and thought they sounded too thin. I swapped them out for a set of Dimarzio Evolutions i had laying around and still find the tone way too bright and thin. I play through a Marshall TSL60 and use it in an early 80s style metal band. I have an SG w/ Rio Grande BBQ/TX set that I love, so I was thinking about getting another set, but thought about something a little more aggressive. I was looking at the Gibson Iommi, the Duncan Custom, the BBQ, and something from Bare Knuckle, likely the Warpig or the Nailbomb. Any suggestions for a pickup to boost the bottom end and give a serious crunch?
