hey guys.for those of you that have tried out both pickups,how do you compare them and/or what are their differences???...which one is brighter or darker? which one has better clarity under high gain? which one has a tighter bottom end? i'm thinking of trying one of them out in a basswood strat-style guitar with a maple neck/fretboard.my playing style is hark rock amp; metal...thanks!!!

Read the Harmony Central reviews and it sounds good. I've got a solid Maple baritone that sounds dull compared to my Mahogany one. Both have the 81 in the bridge. Just looking to liven up the dull tone.....

Like the tone zone i noticed this pup has real good fat depth even when playing the highest notes on the E string?
i never heard another pup do this?

Does anyone have a pic of his paul from the wall? I'm sure it has P90's.. Someone has got to have a pic! Thanks..

I have an old kay archtop that has had its guts pulled out. I was thinking of putting a 59b in it. Do you think that it would be ok? It is the only pup that I have available (no cash to go buy one). I play all blues, mostly slide in open tunings.

I just dug this out of the dusty forgotten spaces of my puter, I was just messing with a riff a while back. I used the 5150 on the low gain input and remember what I liked about it after hearing this one. I was useing Eminence V12s in it ( these went to Jeff H and they served him well), would love to hear some Swamp Thangs in that amp.... Anyway, hear it is.

About a week ago me and the old lady went cruisin around eBay lookin for cheap guitar bodies...low and behold we stumble upon this little number.

Hey all. I've heard things like quot;best kept secretquot; when talking about the Crate V-series amps..just wondering if anyone knows how they compare to other, more expensive tube combos, and what types of music these things are good for (..metal?) ?

ok...with all the new buys on here lately and some sweet gear i have tried out in the past couple days, my wife being almost finished with school...i'm starting to seriously G.A.S. for some things...a few guitars and a couple of amps and some spina modded pedals...lol!!!

What would be the best nut for a trem arm strat with no floyd in order to keep it in tune? i know eddie van halen, before they invented floyd's, used a brass nut lubricated on his strat would that be the best?

I need a body and a 3 way switch. Maybe other stuff. Let me know what ya have.

Here's a little riff that popped in my head right before I was going to record something else a couple of weeks ago. It kinda has a grind to it (I think)...hence the name. It was recorded with my #1 Gibson Les Paul with the Jazz/Jazz combo. This was recorded with just the Jazz Bridge Model. I love those pickups for heavy stuff. Anyways, I hope ya dig it.
