...Classical guitar.
Been one of those weird days!
My grandfather has just given me his custom-made classical guitar, because he wants to see it go to someone who will look after it/use it (which i will). Apparently some people did try and buy it from him, but he didnt want to sell it. Also, his eyesight and arthritis means that he cant use it anymore, so he wants me to have it. (I am grateful beyond words, can't really believe it!)
I know a little about this guitar's background, my grandfather was friends with a man named Harald Peters (couldve been Peterson) who made high quality classical guitars. He made them for people all around the country, but was based in the Southern Lake District. All I know about this guitar is its about 30 years old, custom made for my grandfather, and beautiful! I think Harald Peterson is now dead, but from what i could gather, i think his son still makes guitars. (I don't know his name)
Does anything about this man ring any bells for anyone? Personally i'd never heard of him, but then i don't know that much about classical guitars/luthiers. Also, not that i would dream of selling it, but can anybody guess as to how much it would be worth? I'm thinking for insuring it.
Thanks- p
Don't know anything about the maker but congratulations, a custom guitar is always a good thing especially if you receive it from someone you love and if it soods good.
