i want to know what pickups the guitarists from yellowcard use (i dont really like them, so dont start up an emo sucks discussion). the tone i really like is from october nights, like 11 seconds into the song. also, if you guys know what guitar they used for it or even amp that would be pretty schveet.

when my band plays yellowcard I use my JB Trembucker in my Alder body strat, through my Fender HRD, that may not help at all, but at least it's a reply.
BTW, I do not like Yellowcard AT ALL, but had to cover this one song as a sort of compromise to basicly get everything else the way I want it.

Yellowcard isn't emo.
Anyway, I know they use Rectifiers and LP's based on their videos. Will check that though.
As far as I know, they use stock pickups in there guitars.
OT, but I live about a mile and a half from Ocean Avenue, and just under a mile away from Cherry Street.
Good thread title I like the idea
if you guys havent heard this song, listen to the beginning. the song isnt that good, but the tonbe the guitarist gets is like incredible (i might be the only one who thinks so though) but anyway if its possible to get by anyone else, i think ive found my ideal distorted tone! (the song is quot;october nightsquot; by quot;yellowcardquot;, off of the album quot;one for the kidsquot;, just in case you actually wanna listen) oh yeah, the tone im talking about is like between 11- 22 seconds of the song.
no one knows?
Yellowcard probably uses stock gibby's through a triple or dual rectifier......BUT.....i can almost nail the town right now through my Epi Les Paul with JB in the bridge..P-94R in the neck...through a ProCo Rat 2.....
.......everyday the tone of the JB amazes me
My friend saw them live last year and said they used P90 equipped guitars, so that would probably help. I do have to say that they have very good tone for that genre, but probably have insane engineers to help.
I just listened to yellowcard on real rhapsody and their a good band and I think that a
JB should do the trick...if not definately a Duncan Custom. chris
