Well, I returned my 335 to the dealer, and just couldn't find any Gibsons in the shop that I wanted (I was looking for an ebony custom, no luck).

I ended up ordering one of these instead
OH HELL YEAH!!! i'm on the top of the list when that one goes for sale hehehehe (that would make 3 TC hand me downs lol)...i always liked Dave Navarro as a player and i'm glad they made him a sig guitar b/c that is one sexy beast and i most times don't like gold hardware but man is such a nice combo of the bright white and gold!! much better choice IMO...make sure to take good pics when you get it!!

Dave Navarro has a signature model? Far out!! Nice lookin guitar. Simple yet elegant.

yeah, a much better choice IMO than the guy from bad charolette lol...see how they gave him an SE model and Navarro this amazing looking guitar hehe it says alot about the guitarist!! (and no it has nothing to do with the target market for the guitars silly people )

Damn FINE choice my friend. Make sure you take pictures when you get it. I'm all about bumping Gibson aside for a PRS.

Check out my thread about the Carvin CT3M I just ordered. It's very similar to that PRS model except with a fixed bridge. I even got it in Pearl White, Cost me $922.99.

A Dave Navarro PRS...specs please???

One word: *****in'

Dave Navarro is awesome and so is that guitar...

Anyone ever played a quot;badquot; PRS, well, the made in the USA ones? I haven't. There is something to be said for all that CNC machinery. It ought to be Paul Consistency Smith.

Not even the booger stickin, simple rif-playing, saturday morning GC baby sitted wankers have been able to screw one up at a GC!

PSC?

The REAL question is, would you play a PRS if there was a booger stuck to it?

Too bad PRS had to stop making the singlecut... when I saw Jane's Addiction that was pretty much all Navarro was playing, white singlecut PRS's.

wow thatsa ncie axe man, im not a fan of trems but if that was one a regular rbidge i'd be sold! i llike that color alot too.

Yeah, I remember the ads in the guitar magazines that showed that. I was lucky enough to play one before they got pulled and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, it OWNED the Gibson Les Paul like nobody's business... I actually didn't want to put down the one I played at GC.

What's funny is they don't sound anything like Les Pauls. The PRS rep I spoke with today commented on that too, he said the McCarty is PRS's quot;Les Paulquot; offering and not the singlecut.

I think the biggest thing was the weight between the two different guitars. They both had similar shapes, woods and sizings. The Singlecuts typically had thin bodies and that's perhaps why they didn't have quite the lowend of a Gibson. The one I played was actually thicker (I forgot when they slightly redesigned them) and it kicked.

Nice axe, but why not just get a PRS Custom 24?? The Pickups are likely to get swapped anyway, and I don´t see anything else that really sets it apart from the rest of the Customs out there...

looks gooooooooood!!!

TC have you thought about ordering a thorn?

Nice axe,
I don't think you will have any QC problems with the PRS, like you had with Gibson.

i'll let TC answer for himself, but i bet it was the color ... does PRS use the 'jet white' on any other axe?

cheers
