I have a question about wiring up a JB and a Jazz humbucker to perform the three options above in unison. My setup is two humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone and a 3-way selector.
Having looked at the schematics section of the SD site, I have bought a DPDT switch to wire up for the different switching. Now, the SD schematic shows you how to do this on one humbucker. This may be a stupid question (forgive me as I am new to wiring!) but I want to get series - parallel - split options on both humbuckers at the same time through the DPDT switch. Is this possible? I'm confused as I can't see how to wire up both black wires to the DPDT switch and for them to retain their proper routes to the 3-way selector.
Any help or suggestions on how to do this would be gratefully appreciated! And congratulations on such a great and informative forum!!
Cheers
Jeremy
I'm the wrong rookie to answer this, but it sounds like you are after the same thing I am. I posted diagram to get a sanity check before I started wiring and soldering. The diagram I drew could easily be modified to eliminate positions 2 amp; 4. Unless, of course, I misunderstood the switching you were after. If I'm wrong, this is a free bump!

You essentially need a DPDT switch for each pickup. Simply install the DPDT switch for the neck pickup in the same fashion as the diagram shows for the bridge pickup in this diagram:

Thanks MikeS - I've now bought 2 DPDT switches to control the functions on each pickup, which will give me plenty of settings to use. Thanks for the tip!
