Is there a tonal difference between the 2 amp; 6 Point trems? The MIA versions of course... I think there are different versions of the 2 Point MIA Trem though... could anyone point out the differences of those too please..

i have a 2 point...i think the vintage RI 62 one's with 6 screws are heavier and get better classic strat type tones.

The 2 point is great for whammying and has a pretty stable float and is much easier to adjust height than the six. It gets a great tone for me...i have the deluxe american strat, but with duncan surfers and i couldnt ask for a better tone, especially with the float.

Btw... I think Lew only mentioned the MIJ units in his Ultimate strat Sound Thread not the MIA 2 Point...

For some reason I've always heard that the 6 screw vintage trems were better?
Because they cause more vibration to the body or something....?

I don't know actually.. but I don't get why they would make new tremolos that aren't as good as the old ones...
