Yep you read it right. There are 2 main French electric guitar brands, and I'd like you guys to have a look. They're expensive, beautiful, and everyone I know agrees, astonishing quality.
They're called Lag, and Vigier *dun dun*

There's two Lags I adore the look of. I learnt about them through a guitar magazine I bought whilst I was in France. I'll find the model.

Great guitars, but unfortunately neither company seems to be able to carve out a niche for themselves, which is unfortunate IMO...

Back then Vigier refused to do Floyds.... until a certain shop owner showed them exactly WHY metal players like and often need floyds.... 3 months later the first Floyded Vigier ever came in for a test drive and passed with flying colors.. they really knew what they were doing, becasue they retrofitted a Schaller floyd to use Bearings... briliant work...

The Morgane is finished now... Been replaced by a new model which I find much less hot

By the way:

This one costs the same as a DKMG. Well I can only imagin cheaper actually as 670 euros is the retail price... And the headstock is drool worthy. I hope their imports are as good as the French made guitars! Zerb, comments on that?

Zerb, did you ever sell Lag's imports? If so, how did you find them overall? I wouldn't mind the second blue Arkane with EMG HZ...

I actually own a French-made Lag, a Louisiane, from the 'The Blues'-series .
Not THAT expensive, by the way. This guitar had an MSRP of 1499 euros back in 2003. Mine is a 2002 that I bought on eBay voor 706 euros last May, in its original case. It was barely played and still had the protective foil on the pickguard (and the foil showed no pick scratches at all!!!). It's a fantastic guitar. I may replace the DiMarzio Humbucker from Hell once though. I'd like a Harmonic Design Z90 in that position.
