Guitar Center Buys Used Gear
This was the extent of the e-mail. Oh well, at least the # is accurate and in the system. I'll be glad when it arrives here safely on Thursday!Show us some pics when you get it. Congrats
still waiting on that precious reassuring tracking number for my new amp. Sent the WU, WU received. Seller answered all questions an hour after asked but hasn't responded in 3 1/2 days when asked when amp would be shipped........
I'm worried after 3 1/2 days bro, expecially with no answer. I expect next business day shipping, two at the most once I have paid big ticket money, unless it is understood up front that the seller only ships certain days, ect.
I'm startin to get a tiny bit worried. He was advertising a nice collection of high end amps for sale on HC, and was very busy with all the emails he was getting and the other amps, so it could be that, but he was answering all my emails until now. He did give me detailed pics of the amp, the amps a one of a kind so its not like he stole the pics from the net. He also went to great measures to make sure the transaction was safe and all that cause he was in Brazil. Heres a pic not including many others
I'm probably just getting too paranoid.
o ya, he also gave me a bunch of email adresses of people he has done business with as references. Always makes you nervous when you spend money like that though.
^^ wth is that?
its a Matamp(you could probably tell) Matamp, was a company that made amps in England since the 50's, then the owner of Orange Amps got Mat Mathias(the Mat in Matamp) to make Orange amps for him in their factory. So basically they started a collaboration, Matamp amps being the higher quality amps and Orange being the lower budget stuff. They were almost identical designs, thats why the older Matamps looked just like Oranges except they said quot;greenquot; on them and had green tolex, just like orange.
The amp above is a mix between two of their amps, the V-28 and the 1224(they don't make a combination of the two which is what mine is, but since each amp is custom made for the customer, you can get basically whatever you want) it has 4 6v6s at 28w but can run 6l6 or el34(at 50w), the knob all the way to the right says 1,2,3,4 which is the amount of tubes you want to run. Going from 1.8w to 28w. choosing either class A or A/B and either triode or pentode. It also has bias points for each tube on the back for quick tube change. So its very generally the equivalent to a THD flexi but more Orange sounding than Marshall. That was way too over generalized though. Check out the site from : localhost/guy who invented fire knows much more about Matamps than I do! Thanks again dude!
