Sorry, couldn't resist. Jeff Swanson sent me some pictures. I thought I'd pass them along. The only changes to be made at this point is to cut out a bit along the top piece to allow easier access to the knobs on the front panel.
sexy

cool

Very, very nice! I love wood working myself. Nice dove tails. Is that birch? Looks great Scott- you must be pumped up!

Nope, it's poplar. You guys are witnessing the birth, one step at a time.

niice... what color are you going to go with it? irish green? dont tell me you're going to toley it!! blasphemy! =P

Argh, shoulda known this thread youldn´t be worth opening, admin starting i t and all..

Seriously, I like it.... You going to do tolex or finishes on the cabs or both?

Very nice indeed

Cool. So is this one going to be covered in tolex since it is poplar? You don't see poplar stained very often. Looks like great quality stuff man.

Nope, I'm going to put a light stain on it. It's got some nice grain to it.

For the tolex requests, we'll just use multiply birch or solid pine.

How much for this amp in a head version, again? I might be sending a MO.

that looks like a quality cab there. those joints are nice. you do know that now everyone on the forum is waiting to see the final product, if not already writing out checks for an order!

$800 at this point for a head in either this type stained poplar or with black matchless style tolex. (not quite the sharkskin that matchless/badcat use, but close to it)

If you want something more exotic wood-wise, let me know in a PM and I'll ask Jeff about how much more it would be.

More nekkid pics of Serial Number 0001....NICE stuff, Scott... I´m personally a fan of sharp right angles in wiring, but still really neat work

Quiet as a mouse fart. You can't really tell, but the board is elavated on small risers like what they use with motherboards. I try to keep all the wires snug up against the chassis as much as possible. Seems to reduce noise in my builds.

I hope you didn´t take my statement wrong, I like what I see.... but I can´t seem to find a question this would fit to... Am I too stoned again?

*Edit* Ok, quoted too fast, gotcha *edit*

BTW, I got an Idea that I´m workin´ on for Zerbs ultimate amp, I´ll get back to you when I´ve worked out what I need, maybe we can do something like that when I get back stateside

*starts saving up for an Aialinn*

I've had debates with folks in the past in regards to wiring. I try to cross at right angles where possible, but I'm more into keep them up against the chassis, preferably in a corner line.

I guess I had a flashback to those quot;debatesquot;. No offense taken at all man. Just my comment back in the debate days, if it's quiet as a mouse fart, who cares what it looks like inside.
