Very nice pickup, really adds kick and warmth to the bridge position, but still with single-coil quality!
Thames, have you tried the VV Blues Hot? If so, how is this different? I am not loving that pickup right now and am looking for a change, might be interested in this one. Also, have you tried the Vintage Noiseless Hot ala Jeff Beck? What are your thoughts on that as well? Trying to make up my mind for my latest Strat project.

Not really a true strat sound (like the VV Blues), but it really rips as a bridge pickup if you play with OD most of the time. It does a good job of splitting the difference between a 'bucker and a single.
The highs are thick and round, but the lows are still tight and have a cool piano-like quality about them. the mids also cut through really well, with an emphasis on the high mids.
I had a Solo at the bridge of my MIJ 62 RI Strat (basswood body, rosewood fretboard) along with a '54 in the mid and a blues in the neck.
BTW, every Fender Noiseless single I've ever heard sounds like crap. The VV's blow them out of the water. Heck, even the Laces sound better than Fender's Noisless offerings.

The in depth thoughts I was looking for. Now I have read the the Vintage Noiseless Dual Ceramic Hot is a different beast than the original line and has much better results. I sadly cannot find a Beck strat in town to find this out.
I think I will snatch this one up. It is going into a 62 RI as well.
Benjy got it right. My friend has Hot Noiseless in his Sambora Sig Strat, and I prefer the tone of the VV... better definition.
