I'm looking for a new bridge pup for my Double Fat Strat... the stock Pearly Gates Plus is a little bright for my tastes, and I would also like more output. There's a '59 in the neck which I really like. I'm thinking of getting an Invader for the bridge, but would that match up well with the '59 or should I be looking at a different Duncan to match it with? Or a different bridge pup besides the Invader? I've looked into DiMarzio, and the Tone Zone looks like it would fill my low end needs, but I'm open to suggestions.
Also, the pups are an off-white/parchment color. Would the Custom Shop do parchment, or maybe mint green? I'd like to keep the color as close as possible, and I think regular bright white or creme would not look so great. The guitar is teal green metallic.

I like Country Joe and the Fish alot, but I kind of want to know what Barry Melton was playing through during the late 60's. I am guessing a tele, but can't even begin on the amp. Ii hope at least one person out there knows who I'm talking about.

Anyone try this combo? It seems most people on the board hype up the ALnico V pups (like the '59) in the SG. I want to get closer to the quot;Fresh Creamquot; tone and thought a pair of Alnico V Seth's might fo the trick.

I have a 59 bassman reissue and I want a distortion pedal that will give me awesome distortion and heavy distortion (where i can get good pinch harmonics). I dont want a metal pedal but close in the amount of possible gain. Anyone have suggestions of distortion pedals to try out or multi-effects pedals or modelers to try?

I know this may be completely rediculous, but I know there are a lot of adventurous people out there.
Has anyone seen any info about adding an effects loop to a line6 spider or spider2 amp? Once again, I know this may be a completely rediculous request/idea, but it worth a shot!

I have a standard Mexi strat (untouched). I like the voice that the neck and middle pups have, but i think the bridge is a little twangy. I was thinking ssl-3, b ut then i decided that I dont know crap bout single coil pups. im playing classic rock-to motorhead. What do I do

I just got myself a white american strat with a maple neck. I'm thinking of putting a Hot Rails in the bridge, JB in the middle, and a Vintage Rails in the neck. I want a hard rock/metal sound but I also want a decent clean sound. Is this a good combo? I know Dave Murray from Iron Maiden has a strat with all Hot Rails and I like his tone...but I still want a good clean.

So I've been messing around with stuff lately and a few people were asking if I had anymore EMB clips, so I started to work on a few. No POD this time, it's a Jackson Dinky with a Duncan 59 into the EMB Audio wah, ADA MP1 with the quot;rectoquot; mod, and into my jc120 head (still ldidn't get a poweramp yet ) It's a bit distant sounding too...still working on recording setups.

I'm doing this thread/poll to see what folks prefer the tone of. I am hoping it might later serve as a guide to those seeking the ultimate in Fender tone, or helpful for people searching for their unique tone. I hope Scott can get a bit of insight as well.
