Any body got a clue what the specs are on this pickup. I have heard rumors they were PAF Pros but quot;hit don't look like no PAF Pro I ever seenquot;. They look like a stock Gibson PAF. They are tonally pretty mellow, at least compared to my Dimebuckers and Super Distortion 3s in My HM Strats amp; HM Strat Ultras. Here is a pick of the pickup in the guitar.

are those two rails magnetic or are they just two pieces of steel? and where and how are the magnets fixed in that small space?

I've tried a few pickups on my Tele now. The Hot Stack lead is nice, but actually, I miss the bite, higher resonant peak, and attack of the stock / old time Fender pickups. I wouldn't mind losing a ton of output, and some mids if I could get back that ole time Tele sound. I've been thinking of '54s, but I would like that in a noiseless design. The Vintage Stack sounds OK on the file, but still not quite enough highs, and bite compared to the '54s. Is there any hope for me ?

And for what style of music ?

Hey guys. I just got home from seeing Journey, here at Meadow Brooke, NH. Neil Sean is an amazing guitarist. My god. His playing really puts him up there with the big guys, Satch, Vai and Petrucci. He's amazing in his own way, just like the other great guitarists of today are. I'd just like to find out what he uses for a rig? Can anyone help me with this? I highly suggest seeing Journey. Many of theirs songs are exteneded live and they just totally blew me awy with their talent. Neil played the National Antheme and it was so beautiful. I enjoyed it more than the time I heard Satriani play it, and that takes a lot to say.

Thinking about putting my spare JB Jr. in my strat with two fender fat 50's. I'd like to eventually get the new duncan noiseless, but in the mean time, is there anything like phase issues I should be aware of?? I've also got the blender pot. Will that still work ok??

Just looking for suggestions for a neck pickup for my strat that has a Duncan Custom in the bridge. More specifically, I'm looking for a single coil-sized humbucker for the neck. I’m looking for something that I can turn up and tear into, but also get a nice clean tone at low volumes as well.

In a Basswood guitar? These 2 pickups seem to be among SD's darkest, and they seem to be a great fit for my bright Axis.

I was looking at the Tab Benoit site after wondering what amps he uses. He uses a Twin Reverb and a Super Reverb. He recorded Nice and Warm with a Matchless 30 head. It also says that he A/B's the TR and SR for stage use.

If you took out the magnets from a seth and a 59, and compared them based on components, such as wire diameter, spacer, bobbins, wax, etc, which would you prefer?

Im looking around the $1000 dollar range of amps. I play mostly rock in general and I use a good amount of effects. Ive pretty much narrowed it down to a Fender 65' twin reverb reissue or one of the new Vox ac30cc heads with the matching 2x12 cab. Please let me know about you experience and what you know about these two amps.

Hi guys

Need some help, I have 2 humbuckers with typical Les Paul wiring minus the tone pots. The problem is that when I turn volumes to zero I get loud buzz/noise. What the hell can cause this? Volumes at max the sound is fine and haven't noticed any grounding issues. Anyone have ideas?

This amp seems to have all of the features I'm looking for in a practice amp. It has what other small combos from Valvetronix and Line 6 lack by including cd input, headphone jack, separate delay/reverb from the other effects, switching effects on/off with a footswitch, and footswitch channel switching.
