A Mesa/Boogie .50 Caliber . 50 watts all tube, 2 6l6s, 4 12ax7s, and a 12au7 driving the accutronics spring reverb. What an amazing amp. I traded an Ampeg BA210sp and some ****ty Kustom practice amp for it straight up from Bill's Music in Catonsville, MD. All around just a great sounding amp. 1-12 inch black shadow speaker. Its not a metal amp like the Mark series but it can if i want it to...but I don't. I love this amp!!!!

Does anyone have a spare Fender S-1 pot lying around? You know, the pot that has the push button on top? I only need the pot.

Hey guys. I got a strat pickup set. It's just way too hot and rockin for me for my strat...so its up for sale.

Just bought a Crate Power Block and damn, I'm really impressed. I initally bought it because it had the CD input and headphones. Hooked it up to a 4X12 Crate cab to demo it, and I was blown away. I've always been somewhat of a quot;tube snobquot;, but this little amp kicks so much ass I'm planning on borrowing/buying a cab and using it to gig with. Highly reccommended.

its in nice shape, its a carpeted version and you know how carpet picks up lint, dust, etc. Works good and looks good. Must be picked up in Minneapolis area.

Okay, apologies for the very non-PC thread title!

Does anyone know what would happen if i install an 8-ohm speaker in my avt50 marshall amp that has a minimum impedance of 4 ohms? Will it be safe? I'm looking at the eminence range of speakers and they don't seem to have 4-ohm speakers in their patriot/red coat series. Any input from you guys will be very much appreciated.

i read a post or a reply(cant remember) saying i could wrap copper tape around my humbucker for even more noise canceling.is this true,and is there a right and wrong way to do this?oh yah,should i stop making new posts and just keep asking for advice in the same thread?dont want to get on everyones nerve's.

I was just playing with a pick and it shattered to tiny pieces, I couldn't be bothered getting up to get a new pick so i continued playing with the pick, about half of it was left, it made a completly differant sound. Less bass through the amp, more tinny, but when the gain was turned up the mutes were great and it seemed like a great sound for rythem. Didn't think it would effect the sound, but it did. Just thought I'd post my findings

Can anyone give me a quick primer on 5881s, KT88s, and KT66s for power tubes? Like what their general tonal properties are and such? I'm usually a sucker for EL34 overdrive tones but I'm always looking for cool things in other tube types.

Has anyone tried this software? I'm getting the live version with a soundcard I ordered from MF. I went to the website and downloaded the demo, which at the moment sounds terrible.

So i´m about to change the pickups in my charvel (22 fret,bolt on,floyd, maple board, poplar body) and was thinking about a custom/hotrails combo.
I think just get the neck and bridge pickups replaced for now btw.

I'm pretty sure this topic had already been discussed before but i just want to hear your personal opinions on why you prefer Maple or Rosewood Fingerboards on Fender Stratocasters and Strat Style Guitars. Just looking for suggestions for a neck pickup for my strat that has a Duncan Custom in the bridge. More specifically, I'm looking for a single coil-sized humbucker for the neck. I’m looking for something that I can turn up and tear into, but also get a nice clean tone at low volumes as well.
