I am looking for Humbucker pickups to put in this American HH Tele because I find the stock pickups don't have enough chunk or beef. I play hard rock so I want a heavy but clear sound (not too much low end though). I was thinking of putting a Duncan Distortion in the Bridge and possibly a Pearly Gates in the neck....any suggestions?
I currently play a Gibson Les Paul Studio and I'm wondering if I'll be able to get as heavy a sound with the Tele if I put in new pickups.....or am I just dreaming here...?

Indie/Garage Tele pickup
I've got one of the pink paisley tele reissues from a couple years back and the pick ups are just too wimpy for me. I'm looking for something that has a higher output to push my Marshall harder, but keeps that same tele treble. I want to get that harsh indie/noise/garage sound of The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Caesars Palace, Sonic Youth, Kula Shaker, Sloan, ...Trail of Dead, Interpol, etc. but that also could be beefier ala Supergrass, Muse, Primal Scream, Spacehog, and The Soundtrack of Our Lives. Perhaps I want too much...

Fender Princeton 65
Can anybody tell me anything about this amp? Good/bad? Saw one in two different pawn shops for dirt cheap and am rolling it around in my brain...also saw a Bandit 112 that was affordable and a sweet Peavey bass head but now i'm just gossiping...

help me choose a pickup
Alright so I haven't been playing that long, and i need to decide on a pickup for an lp that im getting for cheap from a friend. amp is a line 6 flextone II 212. i had an lp with a JB in it before. overall i liked it, but a fe things i didn't like were.... sometimes it woyuld sound really thin and tinny, almost hollow. my amp is extremely bassy (noti n a good way), so at louder volumes during PMing it would quot;woofquot; if that makes sense. not a good sound, kind of like an echoing thud. a lot of the time it felt like there wasn't enough output. i ended up raising the height of the pickup a bunch of times until i couldn't raise it anymore. so considering those characterists with the jb, what do you guys think i should try this time? i pretty much only play stuff with lots of pain, lots of chugs, harmonicx etc. my friend is in love with the sh-5 custom, but looking at the tone chart it appears to be more bassy than the jb so that could be a problem. i like how the highs are higher though. also, the DD seemed like it might be a good idea. if i remember right, i think that was 4/4/8 on the chart?

Recording Guru's
hey guys, I am needing a recording interface for my Mac. I'd like something either USB or Firewire. I would like it to be a higher quality interface (Mackie, Digidesign, Presonus, Motu, etc.) Allow me to do at minimum 4 symultaneous tracks. If it involves a software change, that would be cool.

P90 question
I have a Tele Custom II (Squier) that I'm quot;rebuildingquot;. Before anyone asks quot;why botherquot;, I do it because I can, it's cheap, and I end up with better guitars than most players spend $900 for just to get the logo, with a little work and a minor investment.

B-52 combos...Experiences/Likes/Dislikes?
I tried a 100 watt B-52 combo for $799 at GC yesterday. NICE! Personally, it was the only combo I could sit at, and find a great tone almost instantly!

Quick quot;splittingquot; refresher.
I see this come up quite a bit and thought I'd do this little quot;quick referencequot;.
In these diagrams, the red/white pair is shown as simply red, to keep the drawing simple. Just remember that it represents both wires. Connections are shown with a big black dot. Wires that cross without connecting don't have the dot.
