I have some Les Paul Gas and I may be in the market for one. I am kicking around the idea of picking up a Used Studio model or an Edwards. Unless I may come up on a standard or a custom for a VERY reasonable price. What do you folks will give Odie the best bang for the buck?

How does the Boss NS-2 work??? I need a noise gate and I am thinking about what one I want to buy. I also was wondering if there were any cheaper nosie gates out there?

My guitar pics
I got around to snapping a few photos and I've never posted any. The pictures aren't the best quality. Some of the tops look funny, but it's just the glare and not any damage.
1) Warmoth SRV type strat, different pickups though. Just put in Bill Lawrence set of L290/280/280 yesterday. Highly recommend them.2) Faithful Washburn N4, switched out the BL USA for a BL L500XL. 59' neck of course.3) Group shot of Tacoma DM 18 acoustic and Jay Turser serpent with emg 81/85. A better guitar then it gets credit for.4) Twins5) Group shot.I got rid of a few guitars and don't have much in the way of Duncans currently. I will have to change that sometime soon when, and if I get GMW to build me a guitar.

trade: JB SH-4 for JB TB-4
i have a freshly-installed JB SH-4 that i will have to replace with a JB TB-4 because of my electronics needing the poles to be strictly aligned to the strings on my floyd rose guitar.

Opinions needed on Rio Grande single coils...
I found a great deal on a mid-bottom set. Any thoughts on the Vintage Tallboys and Halfbreed?

Custom5 for metal? No problems!!
friends, i'm really happy with my recent Duncan acquisition- Custom5. i have a high gain setting most of the time amp; the C5 is a wonderful pickup for the job. no, the C5 doesn't give you stinging midrange like the CC (which i own), neither will it give you a deep, boosted PAF-type tone like the Custom (which i also own), it's an in-betweener. it will definitely appease you hard rock fans out there. blues crunch? the C5 would be your cup of tea as well... have it in my Gibson SG here...if you are still second guessing the C5 for a high octane job- don't. yes, it can be polite, but it bites as well.

Hot Neck HB to Compliment CC Bridge
It will go in a fairly bright sounding H/H Strat copy with swamp ash body, maple neck, ebony fretboard, and vintage tremolo. It is a project guitar that has gone through 7 or 8 extreme makeovers within the last two years!!! I am finally happy with the CC in the bridge.

Edge tremelo not Edge Pro
How good are the Edge tremelo's compared to other Ibanez trems or an OFR.

important questions about changing licensed to original floyd rose.
Ok, I have a washburn N4 and love the guitar except for the fact that there is a cheaply made licensed floyd rose. It already has a cracked saddle and has a small crack in another area. It would of been a great idea for Washburn to put a OFR on these considering what they cost. The guitar won't stay in tune and is causing massive headaches. I was talking to a tech and he wasn't too sure if it would be a perfect fit or not because there are so many different versions. I thought that if I were to buy the original that it would fit fine and solve my headaches. Does anyone know if the OFR will fit in the N4? I don't want to spend all the cash and not have it fix the problem. Also, should the nut be changed to match the OFR or keep the same nut? Pics can be avaliable if someone is kind enough to host.
Thanks.

opinions on this idea for left to right acoustic conversion and back again..
a guy at work is bringing me an acoustic to convert to southpaw tommorow. When we talking about what was going to be done he asked me about turning it back to a righty.
So I thought about cutting the slot so it was a match to the existing one and creating a friction fit bridge plug that could be moved by the player for either left or right and then fitting a bracket that you could pop a nut that screws in,(counter-sunk) and removing the pickgaurd.

Gisbson Custom Art amp; Historic Les Paul Questions...
I recently had the pleasure of playing a Gibson Joe Perry quot;Boneyardquot; Les Paul. I am used to Classics and Standards. I had a LP Standard for awhile and i guess i always just assumed that the custom shop ones weren't going to be that much better because the Standards are already such nice sounding guitars. Boy was i suprised when played it, it sounded fuller and had a fatter top end both acoustically and plugged in. As a result, i feel the extra money spent on a custom shop is money well spent. Anyways my question is why are the new '57 goldtops and '58 plaintops both now quot;onlyquot; 2500$? I seem to remember them being a bit more expensive? Plus, didn't the '58 used to be more than the '57? Musicians Friend is selling both for 2500$, but Music123 is selling some for more than that, which is odd because those two almost always have the same prices. Also, on Ebay there are some that are a few years old that are selling for more than the new ones? So whats the deal, all of them are supposedly custom shop guitars right? And does having a flammed top on the '59 really constitute of an extra 1000$ or more? Its all kinda confusing. Is there anyone who can clear all this up?

Megaswitch and parallel wiring
so it seems that i'm stying with and Invader/Full Shred combo for my Jackson DXMG. Since I'm gonna replace the complete electronics and wiring along with installing the new pups i thought about putting a megaswitch 5-way in there. So the wwiring scheme provided by rockinger seems promising and the switch positions would be like this
