I ordered some parts last week for one of my guitars and im wondering what i should try first? I got 2X 250K pots, 2X 500K pots and 1X 1000k. Then i ordered some caps, .022 and .001

Anyway, after I finish getting the s into my SG, the next is defientley getting a new amp and it's tube no discussion on solid state since I have had SS for too long. Anyway I know if I get the half-stack or 2x12 it will be the Peavey Triple XXX no matter what. My dilemma is, since I don't gig alot but still want a tube amp I was thinking of doing a 2x12 combo since it's perfect for bedroom and stage but I know it's hard to beat a half-stack. I have only had a half-stack for a little bit and regret selling it, but I am just trying to look at things realistically. Anyone got any ideas?

Any of you have a love/hate relationship with your pickups? Right now i have a tele hotrails, and i cannot make up my mind if i want to keep it or put the stock back in. Sometimes i play it and i am like quot;this is greatquot; and other times i am just like quot;this sounds like a bad digestive tract.quot; Yesterday i actually drove to the guitar store inteneding to get the stock one put back in, but i decided last minute not to do it and it is still there now.

The Marshall Plexi comes with three tubes (12AX7s) in the preamp. I would like to know which tubes are being used if I plug into the Top right (II or second) input.
I know this amp has two seperate preamps, but why are there three tubes?

Right now I wired this HSH guitar for bridge volume and middle volume. The pots are connected to a 5 way switch. However I never know which lug to ground (one of the outside one right) or which to wire to the switch. Right now the middle lugs are connected to the switch, but neither of the pots work this way. Is this the problem?

Where is the exhaustive list of pedals that Clapton has used?...Cream to Derek...to present?

I'm looking for a used MXR Compressor pedal. A Dyna Comp or Super Comp in good shape. Anybody have one that could use a new home?
