I was just playing with a pick and it shattered to tiny pieces, I couldn't be bothered getting up to get a new pick so i continued playing with the pick, about half of it was left, it made a completly differant sound. Less bass through the amp, more tinny, but when the gain was turned up the mutes were great and it seemed like a great sound for rythem. Didn't think it would effect the sound, but it did. Just thought I'd post my findings

Ever tried Dunlop Jazz III's?

tell me more of these dunlop jazz picks, I've never worried to much about picks. thin for rythem, medium for lead.

they're itty bitty and are great if you only play lead. I couldnt strum with them to save my left testicle. They have a real nice tone. Check 'em out.

i just bought some j-III's the other day for the first time...i like em! played my acoustic with them and strummed away...i still like my nylon 1mm's too though!

I used Jazz III's for a while... can't stand the tone of them, actually. That, and they're a tad too thick/small.

I've been using Tortex .88 and 1.14 lately, using a nail file to sharpen the tip of it.

Why not just buy these -
I've tried a lot of different picks and guages, and ultex 1.14's are my favourites so far

I love the Dunlop Stubbies, particularly the 2mm. You can always play faster with a pick that's to thick or heavy to bend, and the tone is bigger and wider.
