I just did this track that reminds me of...well...blondes and long mixed drinks!
The first track is the blonde one!
Enjoy.
very cool..I'm diggin' the groove :afro:
Thats nice. Cool sound.
Thanks guys!
Oh Jesus...this song made/rescued my day...what a terrible day and now the sun is shining for me
Great..that was very cool. :afro:
Reminded me a lot of Scott Hendersons playing (nice phrasing, cool effects 0:45 for example and very tasty voicings).
What a tone...geeeeez..too cool
So, thank you very much for posting this, seriously
im listening to it and lookin at your avatar Lol Great
I listened to a bunch of your tunes on that page. Really nice phrasing and choices for voicings and such. Really tasteful playing.
Ah my kind of music
Thanks for sharing, that was great.
awesome love the vibe and tone ....keep rockin I also liked your surf tune
Thank you ever so much for all the very very kind words!
This little piece was supposed to transmit positive vibes and I am very glad that you guys appreciate it.
Strange Sound...
Scott Henderson is one of my all time guitar heros and I am so flattered that you even mention my playing in the same sentence with the name of the Master! I'm so glad I made your day. You have certainly made mine!
Hoods..that avatar sums up my creative rhythms...
Xeromus...thank you ever so much for checking out my stuff.
Rid...anytime man!
Stewie...the surf track will be mixed down better in the near future with all the missing parts. I'll keep you posted! where in the world did you learn to play like that? Just some of the choices you make in your phrasing and such are some musical ideas I would have never thought of. Where you're at is pretty much a goal of what I'd like to be able to do musically. You can really exhibit an atmosphere, mood, or theme with your music. You have some real talent there buddy.
Great note choice and execution, really cool
Nice vibe!!!
Once again, thank you all.
Your words are a great source of inspiration to me.
I had to come back and listen to this track again
...I checked out the clips on your site.... I'm listening to Sunday Reggae right now...your overdriven tone and some licks on that track remind me a lot of Al DiMeola's electric tone on some of his earlier stuff (don't think he ever did reggae though )....Is that what you were going for? It sounds great....
Really sharp , I totally dig it!
Wattage, thanks!
drp555...
I wasn't going for anything in particular with that track or any of my tracks...I just start building something and then I see what happens.
The reggae track was born when I found the reggae preset on my old sequencer and I punched ina chord sequence I liked, then I took my guitar and started improvising...
I agree, I does sound like Al Di Meola, which is surprising since it was played with a Strat (bridge pickup), but then again Al is using Koch amps nowadays and I use a Koch Twintone so they must be voiced to his liking.
Anyway, if you listen to quot;Race With The Devil on a Spanish Highwayquot; on Al's live recording quot;Tour De Force - Livequot; you'll find that the closing solo is played over a straight reggae backing!
So I guess I am influenced by Al (whom I greatly admire) but I didn't quote him on purpose.

I learned to play in my bedroom mostly.
And playing with a lot of bands with completely different styles, trying to grasp as much theory and practice as could gather from books, tapes, occasional lessons and experimenting.
All this work, family and real life permitting. I do what I can.
Your compliments make all this effort worthwhile, although I enjoy playing just for the sake of it...otherwise, why should I go through so much trouble?
I just LOVE playing guitar.
