I guess that says it all do the antiquities come with gold covers? I recently got a black les paul with gold hardware and i think the aged nickel would look rather silly so i'm wondering if you can get the antiquities in a gold formate. Or i could just go with gold 4 conductor (so i can do series and in/out phase) seth lovers.
Thanks,
Tony
Swan,
Welcome to the forum man!
Are you wanting NEW covers? or aged gold? If you wanted un-aged, 4 conductor antiquites it would probably have to be a full blown CS piece. You can always change the covers yourself it's a cinch. Covers are 15 bucks a piece.
If you want aged gold you can use toothpast to pit the gold gold, and of course sandpaper etc.
Hope that helps!

how hard are they to change would be my big question? And will any gold humbucking cover work? or does it have to be specific in dimensions? I've already got a pair of quot;agedquot; covers on the les paul in question so hopefully i could just pull those off and throw them on. Not sure though if they are nickel silver though like on the antiquities. any way to find out?
I would go for Seth with gold covers (or PG if you like a little bit brighter). This is much cheaper and the difference soundwise is small

I'm not one of those who believe in all those tone myths, but there's definately a difference between antiquity amp; normal pups...

Gibson covers? The neck cover works, but not the bridge cover, Gibson uses a slightly different spacing....I found that one out the hard way.
