I was trying to get some opinions on where the best position for a lace blue would be? Neck or Middle?, give me some feed back. thanks!

also what kind of capacitor works best with lace blue, .1,.22 ? any suggestions? thanks...

I have used the Blue Lace sensor in the neck and the tone is to die for!!!! Its like a sweet PAF with a little extra something! Its one of my all time favorite neck pickups!!!!

used the lace gold in the neck and the tone sucked BIG TIME.wonderfull in the middle.
betytter than vintage rails.
but that was the gold one

I had a Blue Lace in neck, and a Gold in middle. The Blue had a nice, dark and jazzy tone on low gain, and was great for shredding at high gain. Most interesting was the extreme sustain these both pickups had, we speak minutes rather than secunds. However, there were also less good things to say. The Blue was generally dark, but had also a bright overtone which made it somewhat Stratty like. That dark tone was not exactly the tone I wanted in a Strat. High gain shredding was also super above the 12th fret, but tended to be muddy on the lower side. Lace makes a Light Blue today with some 8k, instead of 12k for the original Blue. Havn´t tested it yet, but I guess that will sound more like a Strat, and being less muddy too. There is also a Burgundy with 9.5K, which has a thicker gauge for the wire and a more P90-like sound. I will probably test that one in the neck of my Strat some day.
