I replaced the Coolrails-neck with a Hotrails and put the CR in the middleposition of my Jackson PCS Dinky (maple body), and it's not as hot as I expected. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but not 'great'. I expected more dirt but it's actually very clean, not that much more output than the CR. Just a little more bass and mids.
Seems to give about the same amount of crunch as the CR...and I was looking for more.

hey guys. I'm kinda stumped here, so if anyone can help me out, I'd be really appreciative.

What would someone recommend, as far as pickups, what would be good for an epiphone SG special? I like to play punk, hardcore, and rock. Sort of more melodic stuff.

I never played any Deans let alone their imports, but this axe sure looks nice and for the price!

hey, i'm looking to replace the stock pickups in my SG standard (99). so i'm basically looking for some suggestions.

Here's the inlays JohnJohn installed yesterday.
The new inlay both really blends in and really stands out as nothing looks abnormal, yet the shinny metal inlays really draw your attention towards the guitar's neck. I'm really happy with the work and workmanship.

Any Rio Grande dealers here? I'm looking for a crunchbox bridge pickup.

I have a alder body fender strat with a hot rails in the bridge, and a cool rails in the neck. I was wondering what pup could i put in the middle that would go with them? I play mostly rock and blues.

Okay, after having my V Series amp for a couple of months now I decided its time to part. It is an amazing amp but I just can't get that tone I want. I guess What Im looking for is just a chug chug amp that is not to expensive. So, I have tried the Peavey XL supreme head through a 4X12 and it sounds nice IMO. I always did not like the Marshall MG combos that I have tried, but yesterday I tried the head through a 4X12 and I was shocked I acually liked it. So my best guess is Im not a tube person. Well maybe if I had like a Mesa Boogie but that is way out of league/ price range. So, Im thinking of selling my V Series and buy a SS Half stack, prolly in the 600-700 price range new. I don't want a modeler and I don't need any effects because all I ever use is Distortion or clean. So, do you guys have any suggestions for a SS head that is in 400-500 range that can give me a decent chug chug distortion. 2 channel and footswitchable is a must. Im looking for something that is atleast 100 or can handle a gig. (that is another reason I want to get a half stack)

seriously, everything i read about the guitarport seems like worthless propaganda.

I'm a big fan of Freddie King. He's my favorite of the three Kings.

In the next days i'm gonna quot;restorequot; my strat in it's usual shape with 3 single-coils, almost wired traditionally.
But i still like to have 2 additional sounds without changing the look.
