i just bought a 500k push/pull pot because my jackson pot would often crackle. I'd rather keep the pot and stay with passive pickups, but i need help with deciding which bridge pickup would best suit me. These are the ones i was interested in...

While searching for parts, I came across a website that sold individual tuners. So you could make up your own sets (3x3, 6 inline, 4x2, etc).

I'm on the hunt for a center speaker to round out my 5.1 setup. If anyone has a Polk Audio CSi25 or CSi30 they want to unload, do tell. I know it's a long shot, but I can't find the damn things anywhere!

I tried a Reissue Fender Blues DeVille 410 today along with a Tech 21 SansAmp GT2.
Wow, the tone of that Blues DeVille is a wonder. One of the best I ever heard.

Just thought I'd update my progress on converting my strat from three singles to dual humbuckers. I have the pickguard in, but don't have access to a drill right now to cut the control holes. I'll be heading home in the next couple of weekends and I'll do it then. I'm also digging up info about getting chrome rings for these Lawrence humbuckers, there's a bit of space around them and I think the rings will look killer. I have a shot w/ black plastic rings and it looks ok, but the black doesn't really jive with the rest of the guitar.If someone described that color scheme to me, I'd probably think poorly of it, but these pictures look nice.

Hey all. I have a Hamer Diablo (alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, Floyd Rose) that has a JB in the bridge and a JB in the neck (which I think has a different wind than the bridge pickup because the label on the pup is different). I'm using this mostly as a shred guitar for when those Satriani/Vai urges strike me. The JB in the bridge sounds awesome (which surprised me, because my prior JB bridge experience is not good), but the neck pickup is too muddy. I'm playing with a lot of gain and it just doesn't have the articulation I'm looking for. I'm thinking a Jazz would be a good replacement, but I don't know if the output is high enough. I basically want to be able to switch to my neck to get a different sound, but without having much of a drop in the distortion level. Would the Jazz do it for me or should I be looking at another pickup?

Hey Zerb, ( or anyone else who might know) what can you tell me about the Jackson Doug Aldrich model? I saw a few pics of it and I really like the guitar, but why did they drop him? Was it because he is into old strats now? I wasn't trying to quot;single you outquot; or anything man, you just seem to know a lot of info about the Jackson company and their guitars. Thanx man,

Im replacing my stock pickups in a epiphone les paul standard with the quot;SH-PG1 Pearly Gates quot; and the Alnico II Pro pickups. This a good combo?

I picked up a Korina Kramer pacer/baretta style guitar body off e-bay- it's a replica of the 5150 body and I'm going to build a custom guitar out of it. I bought it because I played an original Kramer baretta at Guitar Center recently and the body just felt real comfortable- I didn't get this body to do some cliche 5150 replica.

Well, I didn't get lost, but almost did looking for Ishibashi music in Nagoya. lol I picked up this gem, a Fender Japan '52 Tele. It plays great, good, powerful sound strummed, sustain and feels great with open position chords. I need to get used to gloss necks and 7.5quot; radii to play blues well up the neck, but I love the first and second positions... Anyway, here's a pic of the bridge, would I gain anything by replacing it (Barden) or the saddles (Antiquity)?
