someone explain to me the process of doing a sparkle finish. I'm infatuated with sparkly guitars.

I bought a jar of the sparkle flakes to add to the paint but have never used it myself.... If i understand it right, and i really do not know about it that well, after you seal and prime the body and get it ready for finnish, you spray a grey or silver colour base coat...... Add a flash of clear coat to seperate it from the next coat of clear and sparkle.... Then the next step is to spray some more clear to seperate it some and then see thru colour coats for the colour.... Clear coats and sand and polish.... I was told that if you add a few coats of Clear between the Sparkle coats and the colour coats you get more depth....

This maybe wrong but this is the way someone explained it to me... Maybe next summer when i can paint some more in the back yard i'll try that Sparkle finnish.....

these guys got good advice. I got me a epiphone les paul silver sparkle standard...They make em' standard like that for some guitars, I know they do for epiphone and gibson
