Does anyone have a link to a place that sells standard guitar equpiment rackmountable enclosures? Preferably 1 space enclosures, but other sizes'll work. Thanks.
Do your back a big favor, and get an SKB. Once you start moving around heavy gear in a heavy wood/aluminum rack, you'll start wondering if you didn't make a mistake.
And never suffer from 'rackitis'. If you have a rack that's bigger than 10 spaces, you screwed up! 5 or more gigs will bring you back to reality! LOL
My bass player has a 2 space rack but Im not sure of the brand. Its a pylwood/carpet type with press in faces. You don't normally see too many 2 space racks around and one space racks are not going to be easy to find.
The SKB racks are sturdy enough for most SS/digital units and I even had my 2:90 in a SKB (4 space w/wheels pull out handle) which was very nice but I got it out of there as soon as I could afford a Mesa SUS-4 shock rack for it.
GJ is right, avoid racks that look like refridgerators, they weigh just as much. My 8 and 4 space Boogie racks loaded take 2 people to lift off of the ground with comfort. Fortunately I also have the 4quot; trac-loc casters so once I'm on the ground it rolls easily.
