Hey,
I was wondering what would be the best passive pickup to hold up for some metal playing but also punk rock. I have heard everything from Distortion, JB, and Invader....I NEED HELP!!

hwat sould I do...i want a good neck bridge combo..

A matched set of Invaders would work.

Hey man, our advice would be more useful if you gave us your guitar's specs, and what rig (to a lesser extent). Of the top of my head I say jazz/JB. The JB can be as clean or as dirty as you want, however it does not sound good in all guitars. The jazz will do good for rythym work or smooth neck sounds, great articulation especially for the neck slot. Look at my posts on this link for a generic humbucker breakdown.

Well, right now I have a crappy Ibanez GAX70. I plan on getting a Schecter Blackjack PT, Tempest, 006, or a C-1. All of the Blackjack series come standard with a 59/JB set. I may just leave them, but I want a good pickups that could almost sound like an EMG 81, without the Active. I play mainly Punk Rock/Metal.
What's the problem with active? If you want the sound of an EMG 81, get that, ya know? Otherwise, if you want passive, a Distortion or Dimebucker would be cool.

Thanks JB, Its always good to get advise from you.

Get A Distortion! They Rule And I Am Not Even Kidding!!!!!
