so i just bought this old epi lp off my dad's lead guitarist, and he mentioned that the # was registered in 87', and i was like...nifty. Anyway, its a Purple burst..or it was seeing how it was a blem top so it looks alot like a LP Classic, just purple.
However, the reason i post is this, anyone know where the 87's were made, and why is there a BIG quot;2ndquot; engraved in the wood right above the serial. Its also one of those epi Limite editions. Cash Paid: 300.ty
Got any pics? The 2nd means its a quot;secondquot; or blem...can mean somethiing very small that most would never notice, but not always. What kind of headstock does it have? quot;Gibsonquot; or the newer epi?
