Here's the inlays JohnJohn installed yesterday.
The new inlay both really blends in and really stands out as nothing looks abnormal, yet the shinny metal inlays really draw your attention towards the guitar's neck. I'm really happy with the work and workmanship.

Phew,I've been wondering all day hoping that you would be happy.
I like your choice to keep the centers unfilled.
After it was done we kept looking at it and it certainly gave me an idea or two.
Flat black single hum with screwhead inlays, very industrial looking.Getting those screws for the pickgaurd will really round it out.
And I totally fogot to do that back block ,I'll carve it out and PM you when it's ready.
I do have to apologize for not polishing the screw heads more.I was worried about creating divots in the fretboard.
Sell the idea to Fender for next month's 'Limited Edition Stratquot;.The quot;Industrial Stratquot;.
BTW folks this guitar has a sweet neck.Awhile ago screamingdaisy posted about blocking in his trem with a couple of dice and a few people toasted him a little because they had read about a product to do that. His guitar has no springs in the back,(not even the trem claw) and his bridge is solid.Proof positive that when you block a trem all you need is the right dimension.

show us this device to block off the trem, please. I'm curious

If you're asking about the product that people were mentioning I can't remember who they said made it.

That looks really cool. I think I may hit you up when finally I get my aluminum Tele body and buy a neck for it. An industrial Tele?

The white pickguard is looking kinda out of place now, so I'm going to wait until I get a brushed metal pickguard before I drill and tap for those screws.

For those who're wondering, you can see the first two screws I installed holding on the jackplate.

so you are saying that there are actual dice in there?

Yes.I am cutting him a piece of wood to fit in the back though.

Man you guys are making me GAS for a modded strat sooo bad! Nice work JohnJohn, i bet you havent inlayed many screwheads before!

OUTSTANDING!! Are they stainless steel deck screws? Don't want em'
rusting on ya.

Turned out very nice it did, with you the Force was

Yoda with a bong, now I've seen it all.

The one in the 7th fret needs a slight clockwise turn....or it might just be the angle of the picture.

Looks good Bro....definitely different kinda Trussart vibe! ScreamingDaisy, how 'bout a diamondplate pickguard with the same screws to hold it in?

No, it's slightly off, but it's a case of the camara making something look 10lbs heavier than it is in real life.

Besides, if the were perfectly aligned it would kill the mojo....this is not meant to be a perfect guitar.

I'm looking at getting a flat piece of bushed metal. I'm just trying to decide if I want something along the lines of stainless/aluminum, or something that'll naturally oxidize over time (and hopefully it'll rust more where I rub against it).

whats the finish on the axe ? it looks matt.

I hear ya'.....I wonder if there's a way to rub it down with say, muriatic acid to etch it up a bit amp; then naturally age with sweat.

Looks cool.......I dig the eye bolt strap quot;locksquot;!!!!

That would kill the fretboard wood, best to scuff and apply a low acid like vinegar and then let the play wear into it.

Oh crap, now I see it ,I knew something wasn't lining up but I stared at in on a stand for so long that it started to seem normal.
