Hi guys,.. just finished installing my new pups, man they sound great,. i just have one question though,.. I'm just curious,.. what are symptoms of a badly grounded pickup?

I had one that i traded and i liked most things about it but is there any way to get more vintage seth lover type twang out of it?
i understand that it is a 14K ceramic model but if i get another is there ANYTHING i can do to make it more classic PAF?

i been saving and im am about to sell some stuff to get me a tube amp , since a long time i been wanting a a mesa single recto 50 watts head and cab but i think is gonna be too much for my room so which amp is gonna give me that same sound on a combo?? btw combo's are way cheaper i was looking at jcm800 2x12 combo for about $700 bucks , would the marshall be a good option ? or i have to stick to mesa to get that lamb of god distortion!!!!!!!!! any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey guys... Curly just told me that the weights of ash bodys vary alot... so if I have a heavier piece of the same type of wood... will it have better sustain than the lighter one?

i posted this a while back but didnt really get too much feedback except for certain people tellin me to nag the tech... anyway, the pickups didnt pickyp.. took to a tech, all evidence pointed towards faulty pups... bought Distortions, had em installed... that week same problem happens.. ill change the position on the toggle switch and no sound... well it DOES have sound but it sounds like its on clean (when on distortion channel) and on a really low volume.. im thinkin theres bad wiring in the toggle switch... anyone else have this problem?

It's finally happened. I'm forced to send one of my precious flock to the slaughter in order to appease my G.A.S problem . I'll let you guys have first crack at her before I turn to those pagans at eBay.

I heard this thing works to get your amp the correct juice. I heard an amp with one and thought it sounded good but added highs and sounded a little sterile. I realize the actual unit makes no sound but gets your amp to react differently. Any one use this or have technical oppinions on its features or think its worth the money?

I needed to change a pot today and had a look under JB.. It has a sticker that reads IKZ42 and below that TB-4 0173 ... I know TB-4 stands for JBTrembucker ... But what do the oethes stand for..

Anybody have any experience with these? I already know that I'm gonna buy the metal model pack...but the effects and the classic ones look interesting as well. Whats the verdict? Are they worth the 50 dollars more?

How hard is it to move the pickup selector toggle to replace one of the tone knobs and wire a master tone knob, and what about the hole left from the original position of toggle switch?

Anyone tried one from : localhost/tried to make a homemade one and although it made some interesting sounds, they're harder to make than it looks.

Hey guys, I'm looking to trade my DOD envelope filter. It's a cool little pedal, but I don't really have much of a use for it anymore. Works pretty well as a filter, and fun to experiment with. By no means a boutique pedal, but if you're looking for an envelope filter to experiment with, this is a great choice. In excellent/near-new condition; it hasn't taken any abuse, and I haven't used it for gigs. I'm looking for something like a DS-1 or SD-1, but I'm open for others. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
