Im looking around the $1000 dollar range of amps. I play mostly rock in general and I use a good amount of effects. Ive pretty much narrowed it down to a Fender 65' twin reverb reissue or one of the new Vox ac30cc heads with the matching 2x12 cab. Please let me know about you experience and what you know about these two amps.
I am using an epiphone les paul upgraded with some 57 classics and I play stuff along the lines of radiohead and U2.
I played one with the alnico blues today and was completely blown away, are the blues really worth $600 though?
If you like 57 classics, give a listen to the SD A2P's, and PG's before you commit, it could save you grief, and money!
I'm going to suggest you look into Dr. Z amps as well. They have a Vox meets Marshall Vibe. You can pick up a Maz Jr for around 1000, used its an 18 watt MONSTER! You also have the versatility of a master to keep you breakup low for some U2 type stuff.

I prefer the Fender slightly, but the Vox is more versitile. What guitar are you using and for what genres?I think you're talking about a different Vox amp. John uses a Vox Valvetronix, not the new AC30CC.
