I have had this pignose G40 for about 8 or 9 months now, and haven't really used it much. It has always had this hum sound, and it gets louder whenever I have it on.

I'm looking at expermenting with my Wolfgang Special (again and again and again etc ). I like lower output pups and am considering DiMarzio Virtual PAF or a pair of 59's or even Alnico II Pro. I don't like JBs, Customs on up. Also I notice that the DiMarzio pups fit the cavity in the Wolfgang, with Duncans you have to grind the tabs and I really don't want to grind anything if possible.

I've been thinking a lot lately about when i go off to college this coming fall. I love my JS1000BP to freaking death and it's one of the most important things in my life, no kidding. I'm not to sure how keene I am on bringing that guitar to college with me. I'm fine with bringing my amp, acoustic and my other stuff. But I don't know how I feel about bringing the Satch. What if for some reason someone steals it, my room mate gets trashed or even pawns it or something. Am I being crazy and a worry wort? I know theft is a wee bit of a problem at UNH, especially with laptops. So if I am being reasonable, then I need to get my hands on a new electric. I'd like it to be similar to my Satch. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd be looking at the $500-$700 range. Dont worry about pickups, I'd prolly get a set of Steve Evolutions or the same set in my Satch.

One that is no longer produced... that needs to make a comeback?

How good are these pedals? I'm looking to get rid of all my standalone pedals and get one bigger unit. I'd also like for it to be good at direct recording into pro tools as I have neighbors and can't crank a tube amp. I'd really like some good tight distortions so how are they? are they too digital? good delays? Anything bad about these pedals?

i'm aiming for maybe a telecaster for my next guitar cause i just really love the look of it, however the tone of it is still questionable. Was wondering if you guys could maybe post some songs or clips of your telecasters. And give like specifications of it e.g. pickups.

OK before I go jumping the fence to the competition I figured I should give this one a go..the PAt3. SOme threads earlier this year raved about it but I'm wondering if anyone has some clips? Looking for some clean sounds - I think the Duncan MP3 shows it has a good crunch overdriven but I'm interested in its cleans..also - anyone split this beast? Howzit sound?

What is your opinion about Usa select Jacksons? Those monsters seem pretty good to me but I need some more opinions. I'm about to order a Usa Warror model. Is it as brutal as the company claims?

I just purchased an American Tele off of e-bay that has Fender Vintage Noiseless PU's in the neck and middle, and some kind of Tele bridge pu. The guy I bought it from bought it that way and doesn't know what it is.

It seems that every humbucking guitar sound I've liked lately has been old guitars - Pagey on How the West was Won (old LP), Johnny Marr on Boomslang (60's SG), Angus on If You Want Blood (another 60's SG). So, I've decided to try a pair of 59's as my first shot a tonal nirvana in my Schecter PT.

what kind of magnets are in a standard american strat and tele?
