God, please help me....
I just got a PODxt and I want to play it through my laptop. I have the USB cable connected and I assume I have all of the downloaded software that is needed. Am I only able to play the POD using the Riff Tracker software, or should I be able to turn the POD on and play? And there is a headphone jack, but my head phones dont work with it, what type of adapter do I need for that to work?

Fender 50th Anniversary Am. Strat pickups. Trades Welcome!
I have a new set of Fender pickups taken from a 50th Ann strat, which I think are non Custom Shop 54 Strat pickups. Nice, clean, glassy, quality pickups that came from an $1100 strat. A nice inexpensive upgrade.

DD users what height are you setting the DD at?
I found that mine sounds best away from the strings a good bit?
i guess this is due to the DD's strong magnet pull?

Flying With A Guitar, How??
Okay guys I need some help with this. I am travelling home next week and I need to take my 1992 PRS Cu 24, mint condition guitar with me as I am selling it to my brother. ( Why you ask, I have been bitten by the rosewood neck bug after my Brazilian Rosewood Santana model, so I need to make room for the McCarty soapbar rosewood that I have on layaway.) Anyway back to my problem/question. What is the best/safest way to travel with my guitar. I guess my options are to try and carry the guitar on board, if I get stopped at the gate I can always request it to be gate checked like strollers etc. (I will be tavelling with the guitar in it's hardshell case). The other option is to box it up in the original cardboard shipping box (I always keep one on hand) and check it either with regular baggage or as oversize. I need some advise, I have always been too nervous to travel with one of my guitars before.

Are there any good distortion pedals???
Hi i currently use a Boss Metal Zone pedal and although it sounds sterile and i don't generally like it, it is the best i have heard or used.

Rig Case idea
I'm sick of carting around multiple boxes and cases and bags for all my gear.
I'm thinking of building a rig case out of 3/4quot; plywood, aluminium and heavy-duty foam.

Do different pup rootings make a difference in sound?
Ok... so you know.. the standard Fender Strat body looks something like this:
But I noticed that my Squier Strat body looks more something like this: (not the same, but also with one big rooting for all pups)
