I'm going to order a couple of tapped Pyros for my Aria tomorrow I'm hoping the pyro full on should match my Custom and then tapped can get a more traditional strat type tone.

I was bidding on Jason Lollar's pickup winding book on eBay. I lost. The dude who won paid just under $160. Sucks...

Good idea? Any suggestions would be great. I'm trying to be like Matt Bellamy/Johnny Greenwood. And don't bring that quot;get what you think is goodquot; BS, I live in South Africa and it is damn near impossible to find equipment to test out in the first place, not to mention actually buy it.

I just bought a Strat and it has this pickup config...Bridge=custom flat, middle=stock, bridge=hot rail

OK...here's the deal. My band is doing some recording for a new promo package. We're not muliti tracking...just live to two. (Tascam CD recorder)
We are not using an quot;xyquot; stereo mic set-up we have all instruments miked like we would for a live show. Levels are good...things sound good in the room. Vocals sound good and the guitars sound good. The drum kit sounds good...the bass sounds good. We've got good gear all around and there are no crappy mics.

My honesty always gets me in trouble, probably will do so again here... I like seymour personally, he is a nice guy, and I know he makes great pickups cause I hear them in the recordings and people talk about em etc..

Supposed to be a PAF clone made in the late 80's.

I'm a bit of a gear hoe. Every 6 months or so I've had a completely different rig up till now...

I was wondering if anyone can give me an explanation as to the difference in various output tubes. Particularly the Groove Tubes KT-88 and EL-34s. I checked the website and still don't know anymore than I started with. Any help would be appreciated.

I put the stock McCarty pups back into my BLE that is going to ship to T4D soon. Those are some pretty decent pups. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Coil tap works pretty good there as well, quacky and funky where it should be.

i want a loop pedal real bad...what do you guys suggest? i want anything that has upwards of 10 or 15 seconds of sample time, and cost is not an issue.
is the line6 delay modeler any good when it comes to the loop part of it? i've heard really mixed reviews about it.

hey I just ordered a custom pickup and they asked me something about cables that i have now clue about (considering the money im spending i need to know) . well the problem is i answered without having a clue what i agreed to! Sounds crazy but after explaning what I wanted and everything he flew through some questions and he asked me about four-conductor hookup cable and something else, and i said the yea to the four-conductor cables. Does anyone know what my other option was? and what do both these things mean. Please help - Jason

I think I asked this a long time ago. I just listened to the song and it reminded me how much I love that thick and mesmerizing tone. I'm talking about the guess who version. Anyone know of a pedal that would do that sound to a T? It could be something that I could use with a clean setting on my amp or just stack with my distortion pedal to get that over the top tone.

I usually opt for a solid color rather than adding cost for a fancy top or finish, what about you guys? I find myself liking Les Paul studios a lot more than other models for that reason also.

I'd like one if the price is right =)
