I just got a PODxt and I want to play it through my laptop. I have the USB cable connected and I assume I have all of the downloaded software that is needed. Am I only able to play the POD using the Riff Tracker software, or should I be able to turn the POD on and play? And there is a headphone jack, but my head phones dont work with it, what type of adapter do I need for that to work?
Thanks a lot guys
AFAIK the Software is necessary, otherwise your PC won´t recognise the POD correctly as an audio source, similar to a cell phone like the Razr V3 in that the PC recognizes it, but has no Idea WTF to do with it w/o the software... But I have no direct experience with them, so I can´t say anything for sure
I was just told that my only option is either using a keyboard amp or studio monitors? I thought I would have been able to hear my PODxt through the speaker system I have hooked up to my laptop?
you can buy an adaptor that you can put on a 1/4 guitar cable and plug it into the 1/8 mic in on your computer.
plug your guitar into the pod---gt; run a guitar cable from the line out of your pod, put the adaptor on the end and plug it into the mic in on your computer.
the sound quality wont be that great but it will work
