So i am going to start using 2 guitars on stage. One guitar is significantly quiter than the other, so i bought a Danelectro EQ so i could play around a bit with the eq and to boost its signal, but the thing is is when i use it, the boost is only noticable on the clean, and single overdrive channels. On the dual distortion channel,or lead, it is not noticable at all. The amp is a Crate GT-212.

HAs anyone heard of anything like this before?

The more gain you use, the less you will notice a boost to the input of the amp. The reason for this is because once you overdrive the input with gain, any additional boost to signal coming into the front of the amp will only add to the gain of the amp, not add a volume boost.
If you put the EQ through the FX loop you will get a much better volume boost.

Not at all; asking questions is how we learn!
Try the EQ through the FX loop (you will need 2 additional cables to do this), and test the results.
