My one was the Boss ME-5.
I bought it along with my first 8080 Marshall combo in 1991 and as an improvement of the whole band's sound I lent it for the rhythm guitarist who had just a clean combo of some kind and some over-crappy distortion pedal. One month later I kinda got used to the raw tone of the 8080 and realised that I don't need any FX wimpy-limpy just a cranked amp and a wah so I never looked back. Later I lent the ME-5 for different fellow musicians (the same reason: crappy gear) but I've never played a single note on a gig with the ME-5
Your turn
The rack I had in the late ´90s
For me, it was a Cry-Baby Wah. I love the sound of things, but as one who can't walk and chew gum at the same time . . . it damn near broke my legs.
I had some crappy Snarling Dog overdrive pedal that's still collecting dust.
I think so far in my so early career, I have managed to stay away from anything that I am not 100% satisfied withI have bought a few things, tried them, and returned them...but I don't have useless stuff lying around! (except maybe an epi lp)
My BOSS Loop Station.
I use it for walk on music only!
...its not useless per se, but I've got nicer gear now then when I started:
Marshall VS65R
Epiphone Les Paul 100 Plus
Epiphone acoustic
The only purchase I've made that I'm not 100% satisfied with is my ESP LTD Viper 400... The tone is bland and it is uncomfortable to play for long periods of time. I thought I'd get used to it only having 1 vol and 1 tone control, but I guess i was wrong.
dbx 166 rack mount compressor .. works wonderfully in a PA rack ... was of absolute no utility in my guitar rack
Right now it's my Ibanez RG, it served it's purpose in time and I loved it when I just got it, but now I think it's a piece of ****. I don't even use it as a backup for gigs anymore.
Can't wait to be able to actually buy a Gibson SG! Already have a JB/Jazz set ready for it too! Just a couple of months...
A Zoom GFX707, which I've hardly ever touched and now that I have the VOX Tonelab, I never will.
A Tech 21 XXL pedal that's still in the original box. I think I messed with it 2 or 3 times.
oh man..my Digitech XP-200 modulator....man I bought that thing for the rotary speaker simulator only...I got rid of it VERY quickly..it sucked all of my tone away, and it didn't do anything well...I'll never go back to digitech for anything, as that one left a horribly bad taste in my mouth
My Digitech RP-1 that I bought used for no other reason than I had wanted one 10 years before! I haven't gotten rid of it because I hang onto gear that I buy now. I learned my lesson from the two (yes, 2) Roland Space Echo units that I sold 10 years ago, just because I didn't think I'd ever have need for them again. Duh...
Long time ago I used a Zoom 505. Absolute POS. great idea, but the tones coming out of that thing are horrendous.
DOD FX-25B Envelope Filter. I liked it at first, but it got old very quickly. And it sucked tone like nobody's business.
a danelectro compressor, i never use it, ever.

1. I have no real control of my right foot becuase of my knee surgery back in '02. Makes trying to stop on a dirtbike fun and I can't use my left foot because it's just shiet. lol.
My Bass guitar and amp - i just wanted to try something new 8 years ago - in this time i played less bass guitar as i play guitar in 1 Month...
I just didn't sold it, because it is signed by manowar (quot;born to rock drink and f*u*c*kquot;) and by Doro Pesch (a picture of us with that guitar (signed quot;born...quot; went to the newspaper the next day!!!)
I also have a zoom for bass, i'm not shure what i'm gonna sell:
the amp, or the zoom, it would be good to know that i still can play bass guitar if desired (but as i wrote, i play so less)
Dan Electro quot;T-Bonequot;. Was looking for something cheap to work with my starter kit Yamaha amp. Now that I've got a good tube amp I can't help but laugh at it.
I had a DOD envelope filter for a year or so. I had been playing guitar for about 3 years at this point, and I had no idea what it did or what it's pupose was (aside that when I strumed distorted chords and let them ring out, it sounded like wind, hehe!). This was also long before I had my sights set on quot;tonequot;. I'm sure If I had'nt become so disillusioned with that pedal earlier I would have eventually sold it due to tone fondeling.
danelectro tuner - got it cheap on ebay ages ago, and i can see why now
it won't bloody tune!! and it's meant to be like it!
