Ok, I know that for the most part they are the same pickup...who here used them and what do you think of them???

I'm trying to setup my strat. But no matter what I do the twelfth fret is always about 7 cents sharp. I've tried both the A and E strings and both are this way. Is there something else I have to do besides turning the screw and retuning?

Ok, I have SM57s, SM58s, AKG PL790s and an AKG C3000B. Im gearing up to record live drums but I'm short a kick drum mic.

What would you choose? Give me the pro's and cons gentlemen.

Yes...I'm still a beginner, but I only have this crappy SS Marshall amp to practice with, and I'm not happy with the sound.. So if you know a reasonable priced little tube combo please check in.. Everything from 10 watts to 30 watts is welcome. But I will however mention that I'm a hard rock/heavy metal kind of guy, so it should be able to handle that, however, I do play more mellow, 'normal' styles also. And I don't play live, only bedroom practicing..so far at least. That is why I figure that 30 watts should be maximum with a tube amp, but it doesn't mean you can't post if you for example know a good, reasonable priced 50 watt tube combo.

I have a Strat pup (from a Godin guitar - fantastic sounding single coil) that I want to use with another Strat pup but I would like to have hum cancelling when they are on together.
The pup in question has a bar magnet on the bottom attached with wax and the usual 6 rods (like any Strat pup).

I just bought an Alder body American Series Stratocaster and am looking to replace the stock pickups (Humbuckers).

I'm really enjoying my AD120 Valvetronix head and I'm getting really great tones through mine...Lately I'm really liking the Clean Boutique,OD Boutique,and the SLO 100 tones...I dialed in a really great quot;ZZ Topquot; La Grange preset by using the Boutique Clean model with top boost and some hall reverb...Sounds alot like it and better than I could dial in the 1x12 Tweed model tones...

Anybody can recommend me a s pickup which has the middly rudeness of a PRS HFS?

I just bought a new Breedlove, and as such, I haven't picked up the Takamine since. It's the 540C, so it has the NEX body shape, which is really comfortable. The preamp is the TK4NT, which has a tuner built in and has a lot of options for tuning the sound. It's a cherry sunburst on flamed maple, and it looks really cool, it just doesn't sound close to my Breedlove.

i have a box of 10 full sets of BRAND NEW Ernie Ball 9-42 Super Slinky strings that i have no use for anymore since i sold my last guitar that i used 9's on and all my new guitars i use thicker gauges on and i switched to D'Addario strings. all 10 full sets for $27 shipped to your door! (at $2.70 a set i doubt you'll find a better deal...but if you do, let me know where!!) and sorry but i won't split up the set of 10...it's all or nothin' people hehehe.

Legacy head, 2x12 cab....

This isn't my official review of the new pups I installed into my TOC guitar (The Twilight Odyssey Custom), but here are my initial impressions I just got from wailing on the guitar for a good 10 minutes after I got the bridge level and the strings to pitch. Just writing this now to document my first impressions while they are still fresh in my mind, and see if the differ after I've lived with the pups for a bit, and the guitar has 'settled' a little more.

Anybody got one for sale with a chrome cover? Condition doesn't matter as long as it functions properly.

What pickup in a Strat single coil SIZE would sound the closest to a Jazz model?
of course I would want it for th neck and was not sure if there is anything like the Jazz in a single coil size.

I wonder how much it would be worth??
