The KRIBANEZ...
I just made an Alnico 59/Custom Hybrid with Invader polepieces and put it in this old Kramer body and attached an 80's Ibanez Pro Line neck... Cool Rails in the neck position and a single 500k pot.
Mounted an Ibanez EDGE arm on the Floyd...
This thing is a MONSTER... the body and neck surprisingly fit like a charm!
I have never heard a guitar get the George Lynch tone off of Under Lock and Key/Back For the Attack any better.
I can only say again that the Alnico 59/Custom hybrid is the best pickup on the planet!
This is my first Cool Rails and it is excellent... it is about the only Duncan pickup I have never tried.
Heh that looks too cool man!
Looks like an old Pacer body?
Flip flop white?
Bach,
How do the bigger pole pieces affect the tone compared to regular size screws? I'm curious because I have a new Invader in mint condition that I don't use. So maybe I could try that in my 59.
It's actually an older Pacer body when they did more traditional colors and used better wood...
It's Vintage Yellow... like an Yngwie Strat

The larger polepieces will produce a more evenly dispersed and broad magnetic field up to the strings which will have slighty less quot;pullquot; and allow for slightly more sustain...
It also will induce the coils differently producing a slightly thicker tone..
While both of these characteristics are desireable... you do lose some definition and clarity
Hey Bach, where can I get these pole pieces? All the pickups I have lying around have the quot;standardquot; pole piece. How is the clean channel compared to the basic Hybrid? Who could turn down a hardy helping of SUSTAIN. I love that word. It's so SMOOTH.

This looks pimpin! I think I'll try a Custom/FullShred hybrid with a Ceramic magnet sometime soon...
That thing's absolutely sick!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the CUSTOM/JB with a Ceramic magnet...
Ya know... I have an old invader I won from Ebay for cheap laying around. I think I'll try and make a hybrid pup out of it. Anyone got an extra screw coil laying around from anything that isn't an invader? I think I might get three pups and use one as a donor to split amongst the other two pickups allowing for three different combinations...
Can't we get a whole picture of that guitar by the way??
Must look quite unique.
What are the specs of the '59/Custom hybrid? DC resistance and such?
