Have needed a quot;realquot; strat for a while. So what did I do? Get a Warmoth strat and personalize it. I picked it up for just shy of 500 bucks. It had a white pearly pickguard with EMG's but I replaced it with a Carvin unit that I had on an old Squire. Replaced the gold jack (it was 3 way for the active pups) with a chrome one. I usually hack saw and bend new trem arms to get them as I like but I decided to keep the gold one intact and use my old chrome arm instead. I have a nice set of fender locking tuners that might find their way on too but for now I'm going with what's already there.

From what I can gather the body looks like alder and the neck looks like a birds eye maple. Finish on both is nice and thin. Frets are very small so I'm going to need a re-fret in a few weeks.
