Alright folks I got myself a Tremonti SE today, it plays nice but i do not like the pickups in it, I mainly play stuff from GnR and a little bit of blues, what SD pickups would u guys recommend? Alnico Pro II ? Antiquities?

If you want Slash's tone, then go for the Alnico II's.

I have a Custom 5 in my LP, and it's a very versatile pickup. The other Customs are highly praised too, though I haven't played them.

The Alnico II Pro's sound great in a LP style axe. If you need more output from the bridge, I'd reccomend the C5. They seem to get along very well in my Hamer Special.

Custom 5 Bridge/AIIP Neck

I'm pretty sure that I read Slash is using the Alnico Pro II's that people have already recommended. You're in luck if you want quot;the Slash tone, quot; because it's basically those pickups, a Les Paul, a Marshall amp, and maybe a wah-wah pedal once in a while. No hassle, no fuss.

1. he uses them for both bridge and neck. i was going to get this set, but i decided on getting the custom custom/pearly gates neck because ive heard good things about this combo and it seems more versatile IMO. im getting and installing the set this friday, ill tell people how it sounds in my lp. i might even post some clips if i find the time.

AL II pros without a doubt

i think i would be getting a ALII pro for the neck but ... would a pearly gates be more versatile a choice for the bridge?
