I opened up my LP standard a while ago, to replace some mush with lovers. This was a while ago, so I can't remember what order it was in, or if there was any punctuation, but inside it had HS58 or 58HS in pencil and glazed over. Is this anything special, or is that the code for a 58 standard? (it's a 1998 LP standard with a rounded neck profile)
you sure its not HCSB?
It wasn't HCSB, there wasn't anything that looked like a C. I didn't even notice it first, my dad (who used his electrical background to solder) pointed it out, I then stared at it for a while, so I'm sure that it was HS58. Nothing special about the rest of the guitar. It has a tiny amount of curl and a few birdseyes with a 1 piece mahogany back. There is a little finish defect, but nothing abnormal otherwise... This doesn't mean that it was an Epiphone, and that I got rippped off, does it?
