Is this possible?
I have a calender that runs horizontally. Below each date are a series
of empty cells into which I can insert items. Currently a cell near the
top displays 'TODAY' under today's date. I do this by using the =IF
function.
What I would really like to do is to have Excel place a red border
around the colomn of cells below today's date.
Possible?????????

View this thread: www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=531719You could use conditional formatting for this. Highlight all the cells
under the dates (assume this is B2 to AB20, with your dates in row 1)
and then click Format | Conditional Format. Select Formula IS rather
than Cell Value is and enter:
=B$1=TODAY()
then click the Format button on the CF panel, select Border then choose
Colour Red and click Outline. Click OK until you get out of it.
This should give you what you want.
Hope this helps.

And I thought you were going to tell me I couldn't.
That is brilliant, thank you.--
