have 15 digit numbers downloaded off scanner but need to insert a space
between 3rd and 4th digits.

3000 to do so how can i do it with function or formula

ie. 982123456789876 should be 982 123456789876

I think you can do it by selecting

DATA
Text to columns
Fixed width

this will help only if its allways the 4th number in the cell--
