WTT: Dat'l Do It for Tapatio
We don't seem to have Tapatio hot sauce down here. I'd like to trade a couple varieties of St. Augustine's very own Dat'l Do It sauce for a bottle of Tapatio.

Question about wiring of a Duncan '59...
I got one of these second hand and strangely enough there are two wires (the black that is covered by the wire braiding and a white that looks to come of out the wire braiding). I figured that the original owner just connected a white wire to the braiding to make it easier to ground it. However, I emailed the owner and he said white is hot.

Locking Saddles/ Wolfgang body
HI I have a few things to get rid of. First is a full set of Phantom string locks. They are strat style saddles that have a set screw to lock in the string. You can see them in the Stewmac catalog.
Second is a Wolfgang Special Flametop body. It started off stock till I went nuts with it. In it's last incarnation, I plugged the hole for the pickup selector, added contours to the front and back, routed trem cavity and neck by 1/16quot;, and painted metallic red. NOw the body is stripped of the metallic rec, and I shot a quick coat of black lacquer on the back. It looks bad now since it's half stripped and half painted. I could make it look good by either painting it a solid color, or stripping it all completely(including the trans red top).

Anyone Want To Hear Fairly Extreme Metal Played On A Tele?
And it actually sounds good! The only song I can hear it on so far on Wintersun's new album is 'Beautiful Death.' Download it or something, and listen to the twang that the rythm has. He recorded most of the album with a stock Tokai tele, and I didn't beleive it at first. It actually sounds good, it's super clear and defined, and the lead tones aren't half bad, either.

Muttbucker
I just got finnished creating a mutt bucker from two old single coils. I took a Jackson single coil 6.16k and a fender texas special 6.97k. They both have individual magnets but they are slightly different in construction. The texas special is pretty conventional but the jackson pickup has a totally different stagger pattern and its coil is surrounded by a copper shield. I epoxyd the two coils together back to back and they fit in a standard humbucker ring. I also epoxyd a brass baseplate to the bottom so I can mount it like a standard humbucker. The the two coils read 12.94k in series. I just wonder what it will sound like? The odd stagger of the magnets might cause problems but they might be an advantage too if the two coils are run parallel 3.25k.

Recommend me a good hardtail guitar, details inside:
So I want to pickup a good backup axe. Having a single electric, and it being a floyded guitar is not a great idea if/when performing. And I want something a little easier to maintain at times. I haven't the cash for it at the moment but I have a grand on my musicians friend card. So it's gonna have to be from there too. So that's my spending limit, and it has to be from MF. What was ideal for me was the Schecter C/SH-1 which is basically a semi hollow body with string through, really nice guitar. But I was very pissed to find out MF doesn't carry this guitar although all other major retailers do.

EVH and Fender?
There was some talk about this not too long ago, I don't think it was hear though. Anyone know if there is any truth to EVH and Fender designing his new amp or anything? I believe Charvel is owned by Fender, so maybe?

Guitar Sounds Through the Ages
I'm sure there's a lot of people will disagree, but does anyone else ever get the idea that maybe the amplified rock guitar sound has more or less reached a limit?
