I was reading about this pickup and it seems that a good combo with it would be with vintage rails at the middle and hot rail at bridge.Does this combo sound good and which pickup should i buy for the neck??

anyone ever swap a magnet out of a single coil sized humbucker? I want to change the crummy ceramic magnet to a alnico 8 on my hot rails, any help or suggestions?

Long time ago i read Jeff Beck has his strats wired with the tone controlls a bit different... he has the tone controlls wired for the Bridge and Middle pickups... He claims to turn the tones down until all 3 pickups sound about the same and then makes adjustments from there... He uses this setup to get treble boosts when needed..

Hey dudes. I just got a set of Sperzel tuners off of Kac, but he didn't include any mounting hardware. When you buy a set of Sperzels, isn't mounting hardware included? These tuners don't use the same hardware as the regular strat-style tuners on my Reverend. If this hardware is not included with Sperzels, how do you go about finding it? Do most hardware stores stock what I need to mount these tuners, or are they a specialty item that I can only get from Sperzel?

It seems to me like rosewood is porous enough that I can get away with sanding my fretboard with 220 grit paper and just leaving it like that. I did a websearch and didn't find any advice relating directly to rosewood. What's the convention?

So whats out there, i want a cheapo bang for buck strat style with a floyd, maple neck and HSS configuration. Used Fender? SX? Squire? Yamaha? Kramer? Jackson? Opinions please!

Several years ago I did some studio work for various local artists and it was a grand pain in the arse. I'd either have to haul around my own amp or use whatever amp they had laying around the studio (which I never seemed to get very comfortable with). So, if I were doing studio work these days I'd just stick my POD XT in the gig bag and be gone. That would be so great... you'd have a box full of effects and a truck filled amplifiers in your gig bag.
