I am looking to sell my beloved Line 6 Variax 500. It's in perfect condition except for a little rough spot where my pick hits. It's not through the finish at all and isn't noticable unless you look for it. The reason I'm selling it is because I just want a guitar that I can put my soul into. I'm looking for a good Fender 60's Strat in Lake Placid Blue. I would trade for one of those. Here's what the Variax includes:

New Schecter....
Went to Guitar Center today and my mom got me my X-mas present. A See Thru Cherry Schecter S-1. Duncan Design Pickups, Push Pull Tap, Grover Tuners, for $400. It's so nice. They won't let me have it till X-mas, but that's ok. I just sit in the room it's in and stare at it. I'll get pics up when I find my camera but here is the pick from the site.

Blues Junior?
Need info on it and clips of it. I'm wondering how well it does clean jazz up to metal. Metal with pedals obviously. Mostly looking for clips. Thanks.

My New Strat. 2 Rarest Fender Color Set Complete!
In the 90's, Fender issued 2 colors they only released in a couple years, on Strat Plus Models only. My gripe with Plusses is that I don't like metal nuts, so after aquiring the Reverse Metallic Blueburst Strat Plus, I bought a 2001 American Series Strat and Custom Shop parts, and put the blue body on it, and sold off the other body. Here's the reverse metallic blueburst/2001 neck, engine turned guard, Jazz B/2 Surfers. Total cost besides pickups I owned = $650
A couple weeks ago, I scored it's matching counterpart, the Reverse Metallic Silverburst body by itself on Ebay. This time I put the Silverburst body on a 2004 50th Anniversary Strat I bought last night for a measly $550, and again I'll sell off the 50th Anniversary body. I'll recoup about $250 for the body and stock electronics. This means this new guitar is around $500 total, besides pickups, for the only Reverse Metallic Silverburst 50th Anniversary American Strat, Fender CS Fat 50's. Behold, the only American Series Reverse Metallic duo! Sexy colours! esp. the second.

Tube amp referance/help
Can someone suggest a good book, or website that will explain to me how to do maintance and troubleshooting, bias, and modding., to tube amps. I looked at a few books on amazon.com, but I just don't know if they have all the info about changing tubes and doing biasing. I have a good electronics background, that is what I go to college for so I can understand most of the technical sutff. Thanks guys, I'm new to the tube amp world and I want to start learning all about them. Tubes are sweet!

I ripped apart an EMG to see what was inside WOW!
Man i trashed this pickup. But wow! this thing is really not what i expected. I expected it to be somthing like an older gibson metal case kinda thing but its far from it. You could dunk these in water and they would still be fine. Everything is molded in plastic and totaly sealed. One thing i think is cool that i didnt expect is how the whole pickup is shielded in this wire mesh that wraps around the whole pickup and its grounded. These really are quiet pickups and i can see why. I think ill get one of those pickup booster things and try it on these. All they really need is a little more output to bring the gain up a little and they would be perfect.
