Can someone suggest a good book, or website that will explain to me how to do maintance and troubleshooting, bias, and modding., to tube amps. I looked at a few books on amazon.com, but I just don't know if they have all the info about changing tubes and doing biasing. I have a good electronics background, that is what I go to college for so I can understand most of the technical sutff. Thanks guys, I'm new to the tube amp world and I want to start learning all about them. Tubes are sweet!
Aspen Pittman's book is pretty good. You might be able to find one at your local mega-book-mart, I've seen them there.
Online, check out AX84.com and 18 Watt.com. I learned pretty much everything I know about amps from those two sites, great people, too. Schematic Heaven is a great reference site, too.
Here is a very usefule site named the Unoficial Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Owner's Guide, but it has information on basic circuitry, general tube amp info, and even goes into several mods... I HIGHLY suggest reading through this one.... I still frequent the site from time to time to brush up and reinforce on some knowledge I have slowly acquired...
