Power tube rattle is making me batty
I finally got frustrated enough with the annoying rattle coming from my amp to dive in and find it. I figured out that the power tubes were rattling like crazy. They are completely fine when I put a little upward pressure on them like in the pic below. Anyone know a cure for this? I have pulled the tubes and squeezed the tube holders together in order for a more snug fit but seems that after they get hot the rattle just comes back. It's fine @ louder volumes but when playing at house volume it is annoying.
The only fixes i know of is to retention the tube socket's and/or get spring retainers like this.where would I get spring retainers like the ones on yours for my 6L6s?

Help with Vintage Rail
This is really dumb... but I lost my instruction sheet for my Vintage Rail... I'm rewiring my pots and completely pulled everything apart. The green and bare wires are soldered together... but I can't tell if they were wired to ground... I don't think they were.

Eric Johnson is endorsing the Celestion G12H-30 speaker...
There's an ad in the latest Guitar Player where Eric is bragging it up. Looks like a new version of the reissue too...green magnet cover rather than the black cover on all of mine. Anyone know if this newer reissue is any differant from the G12h-30 Celestion has been making for the last few years? That one is my favorite ceramic magnet Celestion. Thanks! Lew

My minidisc recorder is recording little blank spots from live jams!
The first jam i recorded with my minidisc came out with none of these little skips or blank spots in the recording. But every time after that they all had little blank spots when i put it on computer or listened back to it. They are spots where its just stopped recording for a split second because the music keeps going and you can hear if you sing along to it in your head that when it kicks back in its still in the right spot, but the recording just stopped momentarily.

Schecter Problems
I was playing my schecter semi-hollow (the older with two inputs) and the volume cut off suddely (in the lower of the two inputs). I looked at the back of the guitar and the holder for the battery was open, so I closed it. However, now all I hear is a very light, distorted sound. The higher input works fine.

FS 196
I have a Silvertone 1484 head and matching cab that I'm looking to get rid of for some cash. Unfortunatly, the speakers are not the original Jensens but Celestion G12-75s. Fully functional and 8.5 out of ten considering it's around 40 /- a few years old. Tubes seem ok and the reverb of course is garbage like on every one of these I've ever played. The tremolo is godlike and I mean it...it beats any Fender you could pit it against. I have a picture of it here: from : localhost/community.webshots.com/photo/...1110027YfkQnE#
