I finally got my Graphtech Saddles installed. I went through the intonation process. i set the intonation at the 12th and 17th frets, but doing this left the action on the B and E strings really high. I tried to compensate by adjusting the the neck truss buy relieving truss stess and turned the truss adju hex key clockwise while sighting down the neck from above the headstock. That lowered the action a bit, I redid the intonation and the action is still higher than I want. But, now I've got a bit of fret buzzing between the 12th and 17th fret on the b string but the saddle for that sting seems to be really high already.

The Hamer Special FM came in today and I'm in love! The neck is almost exactly like the 60's slim taper on my Gibson Les Paul Special DC. The flame is simply breathtaking on the guitar, I haven't seen anything like it in quite a while. The whole guitar resonates very well and yet it has a good weight to it (it's built solid). The tuners are extremely smooth and hold their tuning very well (no Gs, Bs or high Es going out of tune like a lot of Gibsons I've played).

Ok guys, let me explain. I've never ever used an effects pedal of any sort for the past 3 and 1/2 years, which is how long I've been playing. Not even a distortion pedal. I get different amps out of my VGA3. So what does a whammy pedal really do? I know a lot of guitarists use them, but why would you use one if your guitar has a whammy bar? That's what I'm curious about, like Satch, Vai and Malmsteen all have guitars with floating bridges/whammy bars, so why do they use a whammy pedal????

What are the differences between these two systems apart from the look of it obviously. Is one superior to the other?

Gotta say this is a hard to find series on the net or anywhere else. Post them pics if you have it.

I recently broke away from my old stand by... D'Addario 11's (3rd unwound) and got some Ernie Ball 11's. Other than the manufactured end (i.e. tip) of the strings (the Ball strings have rough cut rather than that clean proturding wire) I'm having a hard time telling a difference between the sound/playability of the two.

What kind of sound should I expect if a replace my stock neck and brdge pickups in my american made strat with a JBjr in the bridge and Lil 59 in the neck. I will be leaving the middle single coil and splitting the 2 and 4 positions.

Is there a Serial number somewhere on the Re-issue Bluesbreaker combos that will tell when they are made?
