Yeah, I was wondering if you get a good crunchy tone for powerchords with a JB? Say if I wanted to play a song like quot;Iron Manquot; ? I know it's probably not gonna sound as doomy as Iommi's tone, but will it be fine? I know it's subjective, but somebody must have some experiences.

Randall RG50TC 112 Combo anyone tried it on stage??
One of the guys in my band has got a hankering for a Randall RG50TC 112 Combo - I think he would like it to be the dream team Marshall and Fender in the same box and not too expensive either!!
Has anyone tried one of these and maybe at stage volumes, is it any good? The HC reviews are sketchy and appeared to damn it with faint praise, I've never even seen one, but he (and I) would like to know if there is anything to get excited about (the guy already has a Vibrolux RI, a Vox 120 modeltronix (not bad, but he thinks it's a little compresed and physically heavy) and a Trace Elliot - not exactly bottom of the barrel).

question about hot rails for tele
What's the output like compared to a full-sized humbucker, like a JB? And what would be a good output neck pickup to match it? I'm being typical and wanting to get thicker, more LP-esque tones out of my tele...so all help will be much appreciated. And for what it's worth, I've run several searches on here before resorting to starting yet another quot;what pickups in my tele?quot; thread!

Tomorrow, it shall be mine!!! Bassman LTD. !!
I admit it, I'm an amp fanatic. I buy and sell them quickly, but thoroughly enjoy owning killer tube amps. Tomorrow, I'm scoring a brand new, mint Fender Bassman LTD. with great GT tubes, P10R Jensen speakers, laquered tweed, and a bias pot for a measly $700 What a *****in amp!!!!!!

I know where some of the instruments from the flood went
My roomie came back this weekend and said that one of the discount stores(Walls) in his town had about a hundred Gibsons and Fenders that were in the flood from the hurricane. From standards to custom shop guitars. Some that were totally submerged and some with only minor damage. One he liked was a custom shop SG. The paint was peeling off of the headstock and their was minor rust on the metal peices from the moisture, pups might be shot from the moisture too, body looked good, priced at $1300. The American Fenders and Gibson standards were around half price, depending on condition. I might have to make a trip down there to see what they have.
